About me

What I do

I am a Front-end Web Developer in Fredericksburg, Virginia who specializes in building responsive websites using WordPress.

My web development journey started back in 2010 after taking some classes through an online college. After realizing the school was not the right fit for me I started teaching myself through resources like W3Schools and SitePoint. I continue to keep my skills current through sites like Treehouse, Udemy and listen to various development podcast.

In 2011, I started working in a full-time developer role with Germanna Community College in their Marketing and Media Relations department.  My passion for WordPress started in 2015 when Germanna switched to the Content Management System.  A redesign of the colleges website was recently completed in November using a combination of Foundation 6, Underscores Starter Theme, Advanced Custom Fields and Custom Post Types.

I am currently available for part-time freelancing projects during the evening hours and I primarily work with small-businesses, designers and non-profit agencies.
